How to beautifully market your properties to a massive audience of potential buyers, sellers and renters
I’m not intentionally calling you crazy or insane, but if you’re still marketing your clients’ real estate, or marketing your personal real estate, the same way as every other real estate agent or property manager and expecting different or better results, then, well, I think you know the rest… Unfortunately many real estate agents and agencies continue to market properties the same way they always have, including submitting listings to the MLS, putting ads on Craigslist, hosting open houses, purchasing advertisements in small-time publications, cold-calling and snail-mailing contacts in their purchased marketing lists, and posting listings on personal websites and social media.
Now don’t get me wrong. As a passionate buyer and seller of real estate myself, several of these efforts are absolutely necessary to reach an initial audience of potential buyers or renters. Many agents and property managers I speak with don’t bother to branch out and explore more creative methods of marketing. In many cases their attitude has been, “Meh, it’ll eventually sell. We’ll just keep lowering the price.” Or, “Someone will rent my property. It’s a slow time for the rental market.”
